Mango export to Japan may get approval
Earlier, exports to Japan from other states including Uttar Pradesh were stopped due to non-compliance of standards. Vapor heat treatment and other processing are standard in Japan. This was improved. After this, in March 2026, the team from Japan has audited the mango pack houses operating in Lucknow, Tirupati and Mumbai and other states to buy mangoes from India. The machines were examined from testing, processing, certification, production, procurement, washing, processing, vapor treatment, gamma testing to packing. During the audit, all standards were met and agreed upon by the team. If approval is received from the Ministry, the way for export will be cleared.
