Hail warning in many districts of Rajasthan; Will the wind blow at 70 km per hour?
Barmer: The weather in Rajasthan has changed suddenly. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of severe thunderstorms, rain, hail and lightning in several districts of the state. Red and orange alerts have been issued in several districts including Pali, Tonk and Bhilwara. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the pre-monsoon movement will remain active over Rajasthan for the next four to five days and strong gale force winds may prevail over many parts.
In the Barmer area, the wind suddenly picked up in the evening and along with it, a huge amount of sand was thrown into the air. In no time these clouds of sand began to rise and take on a grand appearance. The entire area was surrounded by huge clouds of dust. The impact of the storm reduced visibility, changed the color of the sky and dimmed the sunlight. The recent severe sandstorm in the district has created an atmosphere of fear among the citizens. Many videos of this storm are going viral on social media.
Meanwhile, intense heat, dry air, and changes in atmospheric pressure in desert areas create these types of sandstorms. Due to strong wind, fine particles of sand are blown into the air and spread far and within a short time it takes the form of a severe storm. This storm in Barmer has once again brought awareness to the natural challenges of the desert region, and its videos are currently trending on social media.

Daily activities in many areas have been disrupted due to the storm, and the administration is in the process of conducting a preliminary assessment of the damage.
