Lack of coordination in Uttarakhand BJP government, people want change: Kumari Shailaja
Dehradun. The political chessboard has already started to be laid for the assembly elections to be held in Uttarakhand in the year 2027. Congress has put in all its strength to return to power in the state. In this connection, former National President of Congress and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi is coming on a two-day visit to Uttarakhand on 4th and 5th June. Congress state in-charge Kumari Shailja herself has reached Dehradun to take stock of the preparations for this high-profile visit.
As soon as she reached Dehradun, Kumari Shailaja not only reviewed the preparations but also made a scathing attack on the ruling BJP government of the state. He clearly said that there is a huge lack of coordination in the Uttarakhand BJP government, due to which development work is stalled and now the people here want a big change in the state. Along with Kumari Selja, Congress co-in-charge Surendra Sharma and Manoj Yadav have also reached Uttarakhand, where they were warmly welcomed by Congress State President Ganesh Godiyal and other senior leaders at Asharodi border.
Rahul Gandhi’s visit will change the political climate of Uttarakhand
Actually, this time the Congress high command seems to be in a very serious mood regarding the Uttarakhand elections. There is still time for the assembly elections, but this visit of Rahul Gandhi is being considered very important for instilling new enthusiasm among the workers. While addressing a big meeting of party officials at the Congress headquarters, Kumari Shailaja said that Rahul Gandhi understands the happiness and sorrows of the people of Uttarakhand very well. This is the reason why he has given the state two days’ time much before the elections.
As per the schedule, Rahul Gandhi will address a huge public meeting in Almora on June 4. After this, on the same day he will interact with ex-servicemen in Pauri. At the same time, on June 5, he will hold a meeting with top party officials and grassroots workers in Dehradun and prepare a blueprint for the election strategy.
‘Dhami government is sleeping in Kumbhakarni sleep’
Kumari Shailja’s attitude appeared very aggressive in the meeting of party officials. Attacking the state government, he said that due to lack of coordination in the Uttarakhand BJP government, ministers, MLAs and leaders are busy bickering among themselves. He alleged that daughters are not safe in the state, they are not getting justice and unemployed youth are wandering on the streets.
Kumari Shailja sarcastically said that this government is sleeping in Kumbhakarni sleep on issues of public interest. Rahul Gandhi will work to wake up this sleeping government with his rally in Almora. He called upon the Congress workers that the public is angry with the functioning of the government, hence everyone should take advantage of this situation and come out in the field right now.
Strategy to harness ex-servicemen and organization
Talking about another important aspect of the tour, the state in-charge said that Pauri Garhwal is a battlefield and Rahul Gandhi’s direct interaction with the ex-servicemen there will be very special. Congress has always been fighting for the honor and rights of soldiers. The next day, in the meeting to be held in Dehradun, Rahul Gandhi will talk directly one-to-one to former MPs, MLAs, district and city presidents as well as leaders of frontal organizations. During this time, he will not only give the mantra of victory to the leaders for the 2027 elections, but will also take their suggestions to know the ground reality.
During the meeting, Congress State President Ganesh Godiyal also energized the workers and said that this visit of Rahul Gandhi will help in raising the burning issues of Uttarakhand at the national level. Dozens of senior party leaders and hundreds of workers, including Election Management Committee Chairman Dr. Harak Singh Rawat and Campaign Committee Chairman Pritam Singh, were present in this meeting, who pledged to make Rahul Gandhi’s program historic.
