Shiv Rajkumar wanted to leave ‘Peddi’ after being diagnosed with cancer, but the makers said – we need you

Tezzbuzz Desk – South cinema’s veteran actor Shiv Rajkumar has recently made an emotional revelation about his upcoming film ‘Peddi’. The actor told that there came a time when he had made up his mind to walk away from this film. The reason for this was his serious illness, which was revealed some time after signing the film.

During a promotional event, Shiv Rajkumar told that he immediately agreed to the film after hearing the story of director Buchi Babu Sana. He liked the story very much and was very excited about this project. But then a big shock came in his life, when he got information about cancer.

As soon as he was diagnosed with the disease, his entire focus went on treatment. He had to go to America for medical treatment, so he thought it would be better to leave the film. According to Shiv Rajkumar, he had also talked to the makers about this, but the director and the team did not allow him to leave the film.

The actor told that the film team fully supported him and waited for his recovery. He said that in today’s times, it is not an easy decision for an artiste to wait for such a long time, but the team of ‘Peddi’ showed faith in him. For this reason, he counts this project among the special experiences of his career.

Shiv Rajkumar also revealed that the support of his family, fans and doctors kept him mentally strong during the treatment and surgery. He faced difficult times and gradually returned to his work.

Talking about the work front, Ram Charan is playing the lead role in ‘Peddi’. Janhvi Kapoor will also be seen with him in the film. Apart from this, actors like Boman Irani, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu and Kriti Shetty will also be seen in important roles.
