Arif Ajakia, while talking to journalist Saurabh Dwivedi in the program ‘Talk Journalism 2026’, supported the events shown in the film. He said he was well aware of those conditions as he had spent most of his life in the ‘Lyari’ area of Karachi, which is often known for criminal activities. According to Ajakia, the film’s portrayal completely matches her experiences.

During this conversation, Ajakia also shared an interesting information about her family. He told that he was born in Karachi, but his parents belong to Junagadh, Gujarat, India. For this reason, despite being born in Pakistan, he considers himself of Indian origin.
The film ‘Dhurandhar’ is directed by Aditya Dhar, in which Ranveer Singh plays the role of ‘Jaskirat Singh Rangi’, an Indian intelligence officer who carries out covert missions across the border.
