Major action by Masodhi police, smuggler arrested with 10.375 liters of foreign liquor
Masaurhi (Patna). Masodhi Police is continuously running a campaign to strictly enforce the prohibition law implemented in Bihar. In this sequence, Masodhi police station took a major action and arrested a smuggler with 10.375 liters of foreign liquor. This action of the police has created a stir among the illegal liquor traders in the area.
According to the information received, a special raid operation was being conducted under the leadership of Masaurhi police station incharge Vivek Bharti. Meanwhile, secret information was received that a person had reached the area with a consignment of foreign liquor for the purpose of sale. After verification of the information, the police team took immediate action and arrested Kunal Kumar, resident of Baliyari village.
The arrested accused has been identified as Kunal Kumar, father Shivnarayan Saav, village Baliyari, police station Masauri, district Patna. When searched by the police, various brands of foreign liquor were recovered from his possession. The seized liquor includes 5 bottles of Magic Moment 750 ml, 11 bottles of Royal Stag 375 ml and 5 cans/bottles of Kingfisher Strong Premium Beer 500 ml. The total quantity of liquor recovered is said to be 10.375 litres.
Masaurhi police station has registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act. After completing the necessary legal procedures, the accused was sent to judicial custody.
In this regard, Police Station Head Vivek Bharti said that the police is fully committed to effectively implementing the liquor ban policy of the state government. He said that a continuous campaign is being conducted against the people involved in manufacturing, storage, transportation and sale of illegal liquor. Illegal liquor trade will not be allowed to flourish at any cost and strict action will be taken against those violating the law.
This action of the police has also been appreciated by the local people. After this raid, an atmosphere of fear and restlessness is being seen among the illegal liquor traders operating in the area. Police officials say that a similar campaign against liquor smuggling will continue in the future.
