Big action by TMC! 2 MLAs who were missing from meetings were expelled from the party

Tezzbuzz Desk – In the politics of West Bengal, Trinamool Congress (TMC) has taken a big step and taken strict action against two of its MLAs. The party has expelled Sandipan Saha and Ritabrata Banerjee from primary membership with immediate effect. Trinamool Congress alleges that both the leaders were violating organizational discipline for a long time and were involved in activities against the interests of the party.

The notice issued by the party said that both the MLAs were continuously absent from important meetings called by the party leadership. Apart from this, he has been accused of making such statements and engaging in activities which the party has considered against its interests. On this basis, the competent authority decided to take disciplinary action against him.

Although both the MLAs will continue to be members of the Assembly, they will no longer be identified as Trinamool Congress MLAs. The party has also sent a letter to the Assembly Speaker in this regard. After expulsion, both the leaders will not be allowed to exercise any post, authority or responsibility related to the party.

TMC has made it clear in its notice that this decision has been taken only after complete review and deliberation of the matter. However, the party did not specify what specific activities the two MLAs had done or what statements they had made, which were considered anti-party.

Political analysts believe that this action could be part of the party’s strict strategy to maintain discipline within the organization and in view of the upcoming political challenges. In recent times, the party leadership has been continuously emphasizing on organizational unity.

At present, no official reaction has come from Sandipan Saha and Ritabrata Banerjee on this action. However, discussions regarding this decision have intensified in political circles and it is believed that in the coming days, the sides of both the leaders may also come forward on this matter.

This decision of TMC has once again made it clear that the party leadership is in no mood to show any laxity regarding indiscipline and alleged anti-party activities.
