BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has given positive indications regarding Vaibhav’s future. While talking to journalists after the final, he praised Vaibhav profusely and said that the board will make every possible effort to nurture him at the highest level. Saikia said, ‘He is a great talent. His future is very bright. BCCI will make every possible effort so that Vaibhav can play at the highest level of cricket.

Where will Vaibhav be seen now?

After a memorable performance in IPL 2026, Vaibhav will now be seen playing for India-A. He has been selected in the team captained by Tilak Verma for the tri-series starting in Sri Lanka from June 9. It is understood that if Vaibhav’s bat performs well in this series too, he may get a chance in the Indian team for the tour of Ireland and England. Vaibhav has also been shortlisted for the Asian Games 2026.
