11 IPS Officers Transferred in Punjab: CP Jalandhar, DIGs, SSPs Among Those Reshuffled- THE LIST

The Punjab Government on Monday ordered the transfers and postings of 11 IPS officers and senior police officials in a significant administrative reshuffle affecting key policing and administrative positions across the state.

The transfer orders were issued by the Department of Home Affairs (Home-I Branch) with immediate effect following approval from the competent authority. The notification was issued under the signatures of Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Alok Shekhar.

Among the major changes, senior IPS officer Anita Punj, who was serving as Special DGP-cum-Director of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Police Academy (MRS PPA), Phillaur, has been transferred and posted as Special DGP Human Resource Development and Welfare, Punjab, Chandigarh.

Dhanpreet Kaur, who was serving as Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, has been posted as Director, MRS PPA Phillaur.

Replacing her, Satinder Singh, who was serving as DIG Ludhiana Range, Ludhiana, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar.

Senior officer Pradeep Kumar Yadav will continue as IGP Technical Services, Punjab, Chandigarh. However, he has been relieved of the additional charge of Resident Commissioner, Police Coordination, Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi.

Vivek Sheel Soni, currently Commandant of 75 Battalion PAP, Jalandhar, has been assigned the additional responsibility of looking after the work of DIG Border Range, Amritsar.

Three officers promoted to the rank of DIG have also received fresh postings. Surinderjit Singh Mand has been posted as DIG Prisons, Punjab, while Kanwaldeep Singh has been appointed DIG Law and Order, Punjab, Chandigarh.

Similarly, Sandeep Kumar Sharma has been posted as DIG PAP-II, Jalandhar.

Sandeep Goel, who was serving as DIG AGTF-II, Ludhiana, along with additional charge of DIG Border Range, Amritsar, has now been transferred as DIG Ludhiana Range, Ludhiana.

In another important change, Suhail Qasim Mir, who was serving as SSP Amritsar Rural, has been transferred and posted as AIG Personnel-I, Punjab, Chandigarh.

Meanwhile, Pragya Jain, SSP Faridkot, has been posted as AIG Law and Order, Punjab, Chandigarh.

The government has directed all officers concerned to join their new assignments immediately.
