President Draupadi Murmu’s two-day visit to Uttarakhand on June 12-13, will be the chief guest at the parade of the Indian Military Academy
The passing out parade of the 158th Regular Course and 141st Technical Graduate Course to be held on June 13 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) holds special significance this time. President Draupadi Murmu will attend this important function as the chief guest, preparations for which are in the final stages. The President will be on a two-day visit to Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, on June 12 and 13. During her stay, she will take the salute from the new cadets in the grand passing out parade to be held at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun on June 13 at 7:30 am.

Indian Military Academy was established in 1932, today it has become a symbol of pride
The Indian Military Academy has a rich history. It was established on 1 October 1932. The Academy was inaugurated by Field Marshal Sir Philip Chetwode, the then Commander-in-Chief. At the time of its inception, it had a training capacity of 40 Gentleman Cadets. Over time, the Academy has expanded its capabilities and now stands at 1650 Gentleman Cadets. The Academy has so far trained and prepared more than 64,000 Gentleman Cadets to serve the nation, who have played a vital role in various wars and peacekeeping operations.
