‘Bihar CM’s bungalow is bigger than PM’s…’ RJD’s big attack amid the scuffle at Rabri Devi’s house.
These days there is a battle going on in the politics of Bihar regarding housing. Politics was already heated over former Chief Minister Rabri Devi not vacating her government residence at 10 Circular Road, but now a new twist has come in this controversy. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has now directly opened the front regarding the bungalow and government residence of Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and raised sharp questions.
RJD’s big blast on X, questions raised on Chief Minister’s residence
On Monday, June 1, 2026, RJD shared a very long and scathing post from his official X handle. Through this post, RJD has made serious allegations of misuse of government resources on Samrat Chaudhary, who took over as Chief Minister after Nitish Kumar. RJD says that the bungalow of the Chief Minister of Bihar, which is one of the poorest and most backward states of the country, has now become the largest, luxurious, grand and seven star government bungalow in the whole of India.
‘Samrat Chaudhary’s bungalow is bigger than the Prime Minister’
RJD has claimed in its allegations that the bungalow of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary is now bigger and grander than the residence of the Prime Minister of the country. According to the party, after becoming the Chief Minister, Samrat Chaudhary has also included the bungalow at ‘5 Deshratna Marg’, earlier allotted in the name of the Deputy Chief Minister, within the limits of his Chief Minister’s residence. Not only this, RJD alleges that during his visit to Delhi, Samrat Choudhary, instead of staying at Bihar Niwas or Bihar Bhawan, has taken a big ‘Type-8’ bungalow for himself there too.
Does the CM need 24 bighas of land to sit and sleep?
Taking a dig at the Chief Minister, RJD wrote in its social media post that Samrat Chaudhary has expanded his luxurious bungalow on the most expensive land of Bihar to an area of more than 15 acres. The party wrote asking the question, does Samrat Choudhary feel even a little ashamed that the Chief Minister of the most backward and poorest state needs 24 bighas i.e. 480 kattas of land to sit and sleep in his residential office?
Allegation of incorporating Deputy Chief Minister’s bungalow into his residence
Citing the old system of Bihar, the party said that till now two big residences were fixed for Deputy Chief Ministers in the state. These include the first ‘5 Deshratna Marg’ and the second ‘3 Stand Road’, in which Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha themselves used to live till April 15. Even before this, big political personalities like Tejashwi Yadav, Sushil Kumar Modi, Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi have lived in these government houses as Deputy Chief Ministers. But accusing Samrat Chaudhary of bias, RJD said that he also made the allotted residence in the name of Deputy Chief Minister a part of his Chief Minister’s residence.
Accused of misbehavior with Rabri Devi
Raising questions about the Chief Minister’s residence, RJD asked that if Samrat Choudhary is so strict with the rules and regulations, then why is he not shifting the current Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Choudhary and Bijendra Yadav to the pre-decided Deputy Chief Minister residences? The party said that if Vijay Choudhary and Bijendra Yadav are living happily in their old allotted residences as ministers, then why is Bihar Legislative Council Leader of Opposition Rabri Devi, who has the status of Cabinet Minister, being treated in such a biased and malicious manner?
RJD’s sharp attack on the judicial character of Samrat Chaudhary
Making a direct attack on the Chief Minister of Bihar, RJD finally said that Samrat Chaudhary does not show any judicial character at all. He is currently working against the opposition leaders fully armed with the malice of jealousy, malice and enmity. This counterattack of RJD amid Rabri Devi’s housing dispute has further increased the political temperature in Bihar.
