The weather patterns across the country are about to take a turn once again. For the people facing the scorching heat, both relief and trouble are going to come simultaneously. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has given a big update saying that the south-west monsoon can hit the coast of Kerala at any time. According to the Meteorological Department, the environment has become perfect for the monsoon to advance in the next two to three days. But along with this, warnings of heavy rain, lightning, severe storm and hailstorm have also been issued in a large part of the country.

The Meteorological Department has asked 17 states of the country including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand to be on high alert regarding weather. In many areas of these states, there is a possibility of storm winds blowing at a speed of 50 to 80 kilometers per hour, which can damage weak houses and trees.

Next few days will be very heavy in North India including Delhi-UP

People of Delhi, Haryana and Punjab are expected to get relief from the humid heat. There is every possibility of light to moderate rain in these states between June 1 and 5. Especially on June 3 and 4, strong storm winds may blow in these areas. In western Uttar Pradesh too, dust storms with a speed of 50 to 70 kilometers per hour have been predicted on June 3 and 4, while there may be thunderstorms and lightning on June 2 and 5.

Heavy rain is also predicted in different parts of Rajasthan between June 3 and 5. Apart from this, if we talk about the mountains, there is a possibility of thunder, strong winds along with heavy hailstorm at some places in Jammu-Kashmir and Uttarakhand, due to which a huge drop in the temperature can be recorded.

An orgy of clouds will be seen in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat also

If we move towards Central India, torrential rains in Western Madhya Pradesh on June 2 and 3 can increase the problems of the people. Whereas in the areas of Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha, light to moderate rain with thundershowers is likely to continue till June 5. Along with this, lightning and good rainfall activities can also be seen in Gujarat till June 4.

The sound of monsoon is clearly visible in the states of South India. A warning of record-breaking very heavy rain has been issued at many places in Kerala and Mahe between June 3 and 7. Apart from this, there will be dark clouds in the sky in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the coming days and there will be rain accompanied by thunder.

Heavy rain throughout the week in Northeast India and Bihar-Jharkhand

The whole week is going to be rainy for the people of Bihar and Jharkhand in Eastern India. Intermittent rain with thunderstorms is expected throughout the week in both these states. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert of heavy rain and strong winds in West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha. On the other hand, in the northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, there is a possibility of widespread rainfall i.e. continuous heavy rains everywhere till June 7.

Generally, monsoon enters India through Kerala around June 1st. But this time there has been a slight delay in its arrival. Meteorologists have attributed this to the emerging effect of El Nino as the main reason. Due to the effect of El Nino, monsoon often becomes a bit sluggish in India and there is a fear that the rainfall will be less than normal. Well, the good news is that now the conditions have become completely favorable for the advance of monsoon, which will soon make its official entry in Kerala.
