RCB vs GT: Alert, ban on firecrackers and bike rally in Bengaluru before IPL final
Bengaluru: There is tremendous enthusiasm among cricket fans regarding the final match of IPL 2026. Defending champion Royal Challengers Bangalore is going to face Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, even before the start of the match, Bengaluru Police has issued a strict advisory for the city residents and RCB fans.
The police have clearly said that even if RCB wins the title, people should not take to the streets and celebrate. There has been a ban on bursting firecrackers, taking out bike rallies and gathering crowds. This decision of the police has been taken after the Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede incident that took place last year, in which many people lost their lives.
Lessons learned from last year’s incident
RCB won its first title in IPL 2025. After the team’s victory, a huge crowd had gathered outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The situation became so bad that a stampede broke out and 11 people died. After this painful accident, the police and administration do not want to take any risk this time.
Police issued strict rules
Bengaluru Police says that after the final, a large number of people may come out to celebrate in the city. This may affect traffic and law and order. For this reason many activities have been banned.
There will be a ban on these things
crowd gathering in public places
Installing LED screen without permission
roadside live screening
Use of firecrackers and dangerous items
bike rally and stunting
traffic jam
drinking alcohol in public
to quarrel or misbehave
Police keep an eye on social media also
Police have also issued a warning regarding social media. Officials say that fans should not share any kind of rumour, inflammatory post or material making fun of the supporters of the opposing team. Police believe that online disputes sometimes become a cause of tension on the streets.
Excitement increased regarding the final match
Both RCB and Gujarat Titans teams look strong. Players like Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Josh Hazlewood are the strength of RCB, while Gujarat has match-winners like Shubman Gill, Rashid Khan and Jos Buttler. In such a situation, the final match is expected to be very exciting.
