YRF’s foundation shaken by the popularity of ‘Dhurandhar’; Story of Alia Bhatt’s upcoming ‘Alpha’ changed?

There was a lot of speculation about actress Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film ‘Alpha’ for a long time. There was discussion in social media and film corridors that this film of YRF Spy Universe could also be based on the story of joint mission of India-Pakistan or ‘love-cooperation’ between the two countries. However, according to the new information that has come out now, Alia Bhatt’s film will present the story in a new way. Whereas critics say that due to powerful story-based films like ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, YRF’s narrative writing has suffered a major setback, due to which the production house has had to make changes in the story of the film.

According to reports, ‘Alpha’ will no longer be the story of an India-Pakistan joint mission or diplomatic rapprochement, like in the Pathan film, where an Indian spy and a Pakistani ISI agent team up to save India from a rogue and angry former RAW agent, or like the Tiger series, about Indian (RAW) and Pakistani (ISI) agents falling in love, leaving their agencies, or actively working together to fight a common global terrorist enemy.

Instead, the film will present the origin story of a female character who has been groomed since childhood to become a deadly assassin. Alia Bhatt’s character in the film will not be shown as a traditional spy, but as a trained killer.

According to sources, the story of the film revolves around a girl who is trained since childhood to be a “killing machine”. He was taught not to trust anyone, to live alone and to survive at all costs. This girl, who goes through difficult conditions and violent training, later becomes one of the most dangerous killers in the world.

Dhurandhar was also a spy film, the success of its story genre has shown the trend of desire of film fans. For this reason, the ‘Alpha’ YRF spy universe now has to adopt a different path from its films. Indian film lovers have started giving priority to the stories of ‘entering the house and taking revenge’ from Pakistani terrorism, due to which YRF neither wants to show joint action of India-Pakistan in its film nor does it want to show any story of friendship or reconciliation between the two countries. Although there were speculations on social media that the film would feature clichéd stories of cross-border cooperation and diplomatic relations, but sources close to the producers have refuted these claims.

According to the report, the narrative of the film will be completely action and mission-based. In this, India will be shown fighting its enemies on its own. The story is being presented as a tight and aggressive action thriller rather than a diplomatic solution or reconciliation.

The film is directed by ‘The Railway Men’ fame director Shiv Rawail. Earlier this film was scheduled to be released in theaters on July 10, but later the makers changed its release date to July 3. Whether the story was changed due to fear of the success of Dhurandhar or it was a spontaneous improvement in the story writing of YRF Productions, based on the signals issued by the producers, it has become clear that Bollywood’s stories based on love for Pakistan and mudslinging of Indian Army officers will not get the support of the audience.
