CBSE Re-Evaluation Portal Cyber Attack: Attempt to cyber attack CBSE Re-Evaluation Portal, 15 lakh hits in 2 minutes

New Delhi. CBSE has claimed that an attempt was made to carry out a cyber attack on the CBSE re-evaluation portal opened for the application for revaluation of class 12 board copies. According to CBSE, the cyber attack on the portal resulted in 15 lakh hits in just 2 minutes and more than 1 lakh unauthorized attempts to access files. CBSE said that despite this cyber attack, thanks to the efforts of our cyber security team, thousands of students have completed their application process without any major problem.

According to the Central Board of Secondary Education, there are currently more than 8,000 users working simultaneously on the revaluation portal. More than 16,000 students have successfully submitted their applications till 3:00 pm today. While thousands of students accessed the CBSE revaluation portal today, some malicious elements attempted to disrupt the services through a series of cyber attacks. Based on student feedback, we have further improved the platform, including extending the session time limit, to make the process more convenient and streamlined. Our teams are alert and ready to facilitate the students in every possible way.

Let us tell you that earlier in the morning when students tried to open the re-evaluation portal, an error was being shown in it. Earlier this portal was to open from June 29, but CBSE extended its date and issued a notification to start the application process from June 1. However, this portal did not open even on June 1. Lakhs of students across the country kept trying to open the portal, but the message ‘Under Maintenance’ was appearing again and again.
