The biggest question arising in the minds of smartphone users is why such a popular and important app was suddenly discontinued. According to official sources of UIDAI, the old mAadhaar app has been discontinued with the aim of technically upgrading it and making the security stronger. The old app used to work slowly at times and users had to face problems in OTP verification. Additionally, considering the increasing cases of digital fraud, it became necessary to shift to a new and cutting-edge technological platform to further protect users’ data. This is the reason why the old app has been completely discontinued.
Now will we have to create a new account on the new Aadhaar app? clear your confusion
As soon as this news came out, crores of users were worried whether they would have to complete the entire process again on the new application. If you are also thinking like this, then you do not need to panic at all. UIDAI has clarified that after downloading the new updated app, you will not need to create a new account. Your old registered mobile number will remain your digital identity. As soon as you install the new secure version from your Google Play Store or Apple App Store, you just have to login with your registered mobile number. After this, your old data and your profile will be automatically synced to the new app through a secure one-time password (OTP).
These amazing and extremely secure features will be available in the new updated app.
The new digital platform being introduced by UIDAI has made the security and user interface (UI) better than ever. In this, the facility of ‘Biometric Locking’ has been made easier, so that no one will be able to misuse your data without your consent. Apart from this, the QR Code scanner has been upgraded in the new app, so that offline verification can be completed in just a few seconds. Through this new platform, users will be able to easily update their address, order PVC card and check their thumb impression history (Authentication History) without any interruption.
Now do these things immediately to use digital Aadhaar
If you also want to continue the secure use of digital identity card in your smartphone, then first of all uninstall (delete) the old applications present in your phone. After this, go to the official app store of your phone and download only the new and official app verified by UIDAI. Keep in mind that never use any third-party or unauthorized app for sensitive information related to Aadhaar, doing so can be dangerous for the security of your data. After installing the new app, complete the OTP verification by entering your mobile number and keep your digital documents safe.
