Singer from Haryana carried out Braj Parikrama with her 90 year old mother-in-law sitting on her head.

Mathura. A singer from Haryana made her 90-year-old mother-in-law sit in a specially prepared basket and then carried it (the basket) on her head, fulfilling her wish of doing 84-kos Braj Parikrama. After the video of the incident circulated on social media, singer Kajal Choudhary is getting a lot of praise from users for her move.
Kajal told that she decided to lift her mother-in-law on her head, so that she could fulfill her years-old wish of completing the parikrama of Braj region. She said, “It was my own decision. My mother-in-law did not ask me to do this. I am doing this for my own satisfaction.”
Chaurasi Kosi Braj Parikrama is a journey of approximately 260 kilometers, which passes through important places, ponds and forests associated with the legends of Lord Krishna in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan.
Sevayat Pawan Kaushik of Shri Dhanghati Temple of Govardhan said that devotees usually take about 40 days to complete this parikrama, but many people are trying to complete it during the current ‘Adhik Maas’ only. Kaushik said that performing parikrama, worshiping in temples and performing yagya during this month of the Hindu calendar is considered auspicious.
