Tezzbuzz Desk – Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film ‘Cocktail 2’ is in the news these days. There is tremendous enthusiasm among the audience regarding the release of the film and its teaser and songs have also received good response. Meanwhile, some new reports have come out regarding the film, in which it is being claimed that Shahid Kapoor is not completely satisfied with some aspects of the film.
According to reports, many discussions are taking place regarding the presentation of characters and screen space in the film. It is being said that Kriti Sanon’s character has been given more importance in the story and she has got relatively more screen time. For this reason, there have been reports of Shahid Kapoor expressing his desire to make changes in some parts of the film.
However, these claims have not yet been officially confirmed. Neither the producers nor the cast of the film have issued any statement on this matter. In such a situation, at present these are being seen only as rumours.
Some reports also say that Shahid Kapoor has expressed his opinion about maintaining balance between the characters in the film. However, as the release of the film is nearing, the possibility of any change on a large scale is considered very less. Most of the post-production work has been completed and the makers are preparing to release the film on time.
The film is directed by Homi Adajania, who also directed the 2012 superhit film ‘Cocktail’. Meanwhile, Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films is producing this project. The story of the film has been written jointly by Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan.
It is noteworthy that ‘Cocktail’ was one of the successful romantic comedy films of its era. Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty starrer, this film was very much liked by the audience and its songs also became very popular. Now the audience has big expectations from ‘Cocktail 2’ also.
At present, any official response from the makers is awaited on the news coming out regarding the film. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whether any clarity emerges on these discussions before the release or not.
