Next-Gen Audi Q7 Luxury SUV Revealed Ahead Of Its Official Launch

There are multiple spy shots of the Q7 available online, and based on these images, several digital renders have surfaced on the internet showing how the upcoming SUV might look. The exterior design of the Q7 is expected to be inspired by the new Q3. We expect to see a split-headlamp setup with sleek-looking LED DRLs. The large signature Audi grille will be seen at the front, and it is expected to feature a honeycomb pattern.

The teaser image released by Audi shows a portion of the front door and fender. We can see the S line badge on the fender along with brushed-aluminium window trim and ORVMs with wing cameras. There are also images available online that claim to be actual pictures of the upcoming SUV, but there is no clarity regarding their authenticity.

The SUV will be a three-row, seven-seater, and the boxy design is expected to be retained. We are also likely to see a new set of alloy wheels along with a slightly sloping roofline towards the rear.

One of the images circulating online shows a very unique-looking LED tail-lamp unit with a sleek LED light signature and a connecting element, along with a large clear-lens section below it. From this angle, the design appears somewhat Korean-inspired. It remains to be seen whether the production version will feature a similar tail-lamp design.

The upcoming Audi Q7 will be a premium luxury SUV that is expected to come with a triple-screen setup and a new steering wheel. The SUV is also likely to offer ambient lighting, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, powered seats, ventilated seats, massaging seats, and several other premium features.

The SUV is expected to be offered in both six-seat and seven-seat configurations. The upcoming Audi Q7 is based on the Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture. It is expected to be offered primarily with a petrol engine option. The current-generation Q7 comes with a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine that generates 335 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. Audi may continue to offer the same engine, although it could incorporate mild-hybrid technology to improve efficiency. We may also see a plug-in hybrid version in the future.

The Q7 was once Audi’s flagship model, but that is expected to change in the coming years. The upcoming Audi Q9 SUV is likely to become Audi’s new flagship offering when it is launched. The launch of the next-generation Audi Q7 is expected to take place in the second half of 2026.
