India-America trade relations may get a new direction

The last meeting of Prime Minister Modi and Donald Trump took place in February last year during PM Modi’s visit to America. Since then, diplomatic relations between the two countries had soured due to tariffs imposed by the Trump administration, stalled trade agreements and Washington’s continuous rhetoric about buying oil from Russia. Both the leaders have been in constant touch through phone. It is also expected that some major deadlock will be broken in this meeting regarding the India-US trade agreement which is currently hanging in the balance.
