IND vs AFG: Ashwin’s big prediction, this dreaded all-rounder will debut in the test match against Afghanistan!

The only historic Test match is to be played between India and Afghanistan from June 6 in New Chandigarh. By resting the regular senior players for this match, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has given opportunity to young and talented players. In the absence of star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, two young spin all-rounders – Manav Suthar and Harsh Dubey have been included in the team.

Just before this match, India’s great off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has made a big prediction. Ashwin believes that Vidarbha’s dreaded all-rounder Harsh Dubey can make his international Test debut through this match.

Ashwin has big expectations from Harsh Dubey, will benefit from domestic and IPL form

This Test match is not a part of the ICC World Test Championship, so the team management is in a mood to try new combinations. Ravichandran Ashwin praised Harsh Dubey and expressed his curiosity about his debut.

R Ashwin said: “My eyes are completely focused on Harsh Dubey in this match. I am very curious to see whether he gets a chance in the playing-11 or not. The team will have to choose between Manav Suthar and Harsh Dubey. I have a special interest in Harsh because of his excellent performances in domestic cricket. He has also impressed in the IPL recently, and this form can work in his favor. I am looking forward to seeing him debut wearing the Indian cap.”

Kuldeep will take command, Sundar will play the role of ‘Jadeja’

Ashwin believes that India’s spin attack is very strong in the absence of Ravindra Jadeja. According to Ashwin, chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav will lead the spin attack and will be the biggest threat to the Afghanistan batsmen. Ashwin described all-rounder Washington Sundar as Kuldeep’s main assistant. Sundar will not only prevent runs with his tight off-spin, but will also give depth to the team with strong batting by coming down the order.

Now it will be interesting to see whether captain Shubman Gill and coach Gautam Gambhir go with two spinners or as per Ashwin’s prediction, include a third spin all-rounder in the form of Harsh Dubey in the playing-11.
