BJP Announced 11 Candidates For Rajya Sabha Elections: BJP announced 11 candidates for Rajya Sabha elections, National General Secretary Tarun Chugh was made the candidate from Madhya Pradesh.
New Delhi. BJP has declared the names of its 11 candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections. BJP’s Central Election Committee has declared its finals for Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Rajasthan and Odisha. Party’s National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has been made the candidate from Madhya Pradesh. Rajneesh Aggarwal has also been declared candidate from MP. Alka Gurjar and Dr. Satish Poonia have been fielded from Rajasthan. BJP is going to field Debashish Samantrai in the Rajya Sabha by-elections to be held in Odisha. Similarly, A. from Manipur. BJP has announced the names of Sharda Devi and Tai Tagak from Arunachal Pradesh.

BJP has fielded Rajubhai Shukla, Mukeshbhai Rathwa, Mansingh Parmar and Jitendra Meghjibhai Kanjariya from Gujarat. Let us tell you that biennial elections are to be held on 24 Rajya Sabha seats in 10 states which are falling vacant in June-July. Elections for Rajya Sabha are to be held on four seats each in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, three seats each in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, two seats in Jharkhand and one seat each in Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. Apart from this, by-elections are to be held for one Rajya Sabha seat each in Maharashtra and Odisha.

The election date has already been announced by the Election Commission. Voting on all these seats will be held on June 18 from 9 am to 4 pm and the results will be declared after counting of votes on the same day. Notification for the elections has been issued on June 1. Whereas June 8 has been kept as the last date for filing nominations. And June 11 is the last date for withdrawal of nominations.
