Hydrogen Bus: Hydrogen bus will run on 10 routes in the country!! Gadkari’s big announcement

Hydrogen Bus | Last week you may have read the talk about the country’s first hydrogen train. The hydrogen train has now been approved by the railways and will soon be seen running. Now going ahead of this, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced a major change in India’s transport sector. Now you will soon see buses and trucks running on hydrogen in the country. Pilot testing of these hydrogen-powered buses and trucks will soon begin, giving India another big step towards clean and green fuel.

Speaking at an event held in New Delhi, Gadkari said that India has made great progress in the field of hydrogen production and now it is time to run hydrogen buses and trucks on real roads. The project will test performance, fuel consumption, safety and technical aspects on various routes. A successful trial of hydrogen-powered buses and trucks could pave the way for the future development of hydrogen-based public and freight transport systems across the country. Hydrogen Bus

Nitin Gadkari further said, the country now has the potential to transform itself from a fuel importing nation to a fuel exporting nation. Alternative fuels such as ethanol, hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) can reduce India’s dependence on foreign fuels. This will save foreign exchange and strengthen energy security.

Gadkari has called hydrogen “the fuel of the future”. Compared to conventional petrol and diesel, hydrogen is considered a pollution-free and environment-friendly fuel. Increasing the use of hydrogen, particularly in sectors such as freight and public transport, could lead to a significant reduction in carbon emissions. Hydrogen Bus

Alternatives like hydrogen buses, trucks, ethanol-powered vehicles and sustainable aviation fuel are signaling a major revolution in India’s transportation sector. If this pilot project is successful, the future could see pollution-free hydrogen vehicles plying on Indian roads in large numbers.
