New Delhi, June 4. After Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress has also released the list of its candidates for Rajya Sabha elections 2026. According to a press release issued by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) late on Thursday night, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the names of seven candidates from five states. In this sequence, the party has expressed confidence in the leaders active in the organization and parliamentary politics.
According to the Congress list, party president Mallikarjun Kharge, national spokesperson Pawan Kheda and senior leader Mansoor Ali Khan have been made Rajya Sabha candidates from Karnataka. The three leaders are considered prominent faces of the party and their names were already discussed in political circles.
The party has made senior leader Meenakshi Natarajan its candidate from Madhya Pradesh, while the party has once again expressed confidence in Neeraj Dangi from Rajasthan. The party leadership believes that the organizational experience and political activism of both the leaders will prove important for the party in Parliament.
Praveen Chakraborty has been made the candidate from Tamil Nadu, who is counted among the prominent faces associated with the party’s policies and economic matters. Pranab Jha has been given ticket from Jharkhand. In fact, the party has also taken care of regional balance and political representation in the selection of candidates.

AICC released the official list
The list of candidates was prepared by Congress General Secretary K.C. Issued by Venugopal. The party has expressed hope that all the candidates will perform well in the Rajya Sabha elections and will strengthen the voice of the Congress in the Upper House of Parliament. With the announcement of the candidates, political activities are likely to intensify in the respective states.
