E-registration system implemented in UP: Good news for citizens!
Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big step towards making the registration system digital and more transparent. Now E-Registration module has been implemented in the state, which will make the process of registration of documents easier, faster and technology based.
Registration process will be completely digital
Under the new system, registration of documents will now be done through digital medium. The government has issued guidelines to all concerned officials to implement this system effectively. Through this, citizens will get relief from repeatedly visiting offices.
Facilitation through development authorities
Under the e-registration system, documents can now be registered through development authorities and other authorized institutions. For this, it has been made mandatory to appoint an authorized officer in every institution.
Online Payment and Aadhaar Verification
In this system, payment of stamp duty and registration fee will be completely online. Along with this, verification of applicants will be done through Aadhaar based e-KYC, which will make the process more secure and transparent.
There will be biometric and digital signatures
Under the new system, photo, digital signature and biometric verification have been made mandatory. After completion of verification, the documents will be sent to the Sub-Registrar office through electronic means.
Documents will remain safe in digital records
After registration, all the documents will be kept safe on the departmental portal, which will make preservation and re-use of records easy. This system is also considered helpful in curbing corruption.
Instructions given to officials of all districts
Inspector General of Registration has directed the officers of all the districts to hold meetings at the local level and disseminate information about the benefits and process of the e-registration system to the general public, so that more and more people can avail this facility.
