Rahul was recently seen playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026, in which he gave an unmatched performance, on the basis of which he was successful in getting the vice-captaincy in the Indian Test team. He replaced Rishabh Pant.

A major reason for right-handed experienced batsman KL Rahul not being sold in the auction of this league came to light. Actually, there was no certainty about whether Rahul would play in the tournament after being sold or not. For this reason he remained unsold in the auction.
