Indian T20 team gets new captain, command handed over to Shreyas Iyer in place of Suryakumar Yadav

Tezzbuzz Desk- A big change has been seen in Indian cricket. The captaincy of the T-20 team has now been handed over from Suryakumar Yadav to Shreyas Iyer. With this decision, a new era is being considered as the beginning of Team India.

Till now Suryakumar Yadav was the T20 captain of the team, but considering the recent performance and results of the team, the selectors have decided to make a change in the leadership. Suryakumar Yadav’s personal performance in the T20 World Cup and the matches played thereafter was also not as per expectations. Also, his form in IPL also remained a topic of discussion.

Keeping all these aspects in mind, the selection committee has now decided to hand over the command of the team to Shreyas Iyer.

Shreyas Iyer has made his mark as a reliable batsman in Indian cricket for a long time. He has captaincy experience in domestic cricket as well as IPL. His calm thinking on the field and ability to take right decisions under pressure makes him a strong captain.

Now a new phase has started for Team India, in which everyone’s eyes will be on how the team performs under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer. It is believed that after becoming the captain, some changes may be seen in the team’s strategy, batting order and playing eleven.

This responsibility will not be easy for Shreyas Iyer. Now he will have to face the challenge of not only batting but also taking the entire team forward. This decision can decide the direction of Indian T20 cricket in the future.
