In the women’s matches of MPL 2026, Chambal Gharials maintained their winning streak by defeating Royal Nimar Eagles by 9 wickets. At the same time, under the captaincy of Nuzhat Parveen, Gwalior Lionesses registered an important victory in the tournament by defeating Bhopal Wolves by 2 runs in a thrilling match.

In the match played at Daily College ground, Indore, the team maintained its winning streak in the tournament by defeating Royal Nimar Eagles by 9 wickets. Due to rain, the match was reduced to 7-7 overs, but Chambal’s batsmen did not face any problem while chasing the target.
In the second match of the day, Gwalior Lionesses registered an important win in the tournament by defeating Bhopal Wolves by 2 runs in a very exciting match. In this match which lasted till the last over, captain Nuzhat Parveen’s captaincy and wicketkeeping played a big role in the victory.
MPL 2026: Chambal Gharials bowlers performed brilliantly
Chambal Gharials, who won the toss and came to bowl first, put pressure on Royal Nimar Eagles from the very beginning. The team gave two blows to the Eagles for 26 runs in the first three overs. However, after this, Kalyani Jadhav and Sonia Singh took control of the innings and made an important partnership of 26 runs for the third wicket. Kalyani scored 23 runs in 15 balls, while Sonia Singh remained unbeaten on 14 runs. Royal Nimar Eagles scored 62 runs for 3 wickets in the stipulated 7 overs. Although Jincy George was stumped after scoring only 2 runs, it did not affect the team’s run rate. Kanishka continued to bat aggressively and played a brilliant inning of 46 not out. Along with him, captain Pooja Vastrakar made an important contribution by scoring 15 runs. Chambal achieved the target in 5.4 overs and won the match by 9 wickets.
MPL 2026: Nuzhat Parveen and Sonam Yadav give Gwalior a strong position
In the second match of the day, Gwalior Lionesses, batting first, scored 134 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. Aashna Patidar and captain Nuzhat Parveen gave the team a strong start by giving an opening partnership of 31 runs. After this, Nuzhat and Sonam Yadav added 70 runs for the third wicket and put the team in a strong position. Nuzhat Parveen played a captaincy inning of 50 runs in 48 balls, while Sonam Yadav missed the half-century after scoring 49 runs. In the end, Soumya Tiwari scored unbeaten 12 runs and took the team’s score to 134.

While chasing the target of 135 runs, Bhopal Wolves team kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Ayushi Shukla tried to handle the innings by scoring 29 runs, while Rishita Parihar made the match exciting by playing a quick inning of 25 runs in 9 balls. The biggest turning point of the match came in the last over, when Bhopal needed 7 runs to win. Meanwhile, captain Nuzhat Parveen turned the tide of the match by stumping Reena Yadav. After this, Riya Yadav dismissed Priyanka Kaushal and reduced Bhopal’s innings to 132 runs. Riya Yadav took 4 wickets for 19 runs in 3.4 overs, while Khushi Yadav took 3 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs and gave Gwalior a memorable victory by 2 runs.
