CBSE On Re-Evaluation: CBSE has now taken this step on re-evaluation of 12th copies, know everything here

New Delhi. Now taking an important step, CBSE has removed all the data and records related to On Screen Marking i.e. OSM system from the server of private company Koempt Edtech Pvt Ltd and transferred it to its server to have more control over the security and operations in the re-evaluation of 12th board examination. According to CBSE data, till June 4, it had received 70433 applications through post result grievance redressal. According to Amar Ujala newspaper, an officer told him that during the re-evaluation, Coempt’s OSM platform will be used and the company itself will do the scanning of the copies.

The officer said that earlier Coempt had scanned the board exam copies and hosted them on its data server. Now this entire data has been moved to the CBSE server. Additionally, technical teams have reviewed and improved the OSM code. So that it can run on CBSE infrastructure. This officer said that from the security point of view, it is better to keep the system under the control of CBSE instead of depending on the server of any vendor. The newspaper asked the officer whether Koempt would be able to scan copies properly despite the controversy and past track record, he said that the company had previously scanned 40 crore pages. Of these, only 30 thousand pages were blurry or had other technical problems.

The officer said that it is clear that only 1 out of every 10 thousand pages had a problem. During re-evaluation only those affected pages have to be scanned. CBSE is doing the entire process in collaboration with Coempt officials. Let us tell you that thousands of students alleged that they answered the questions correctly, but during the OSM process of CBSE, either they were given marks of other students or they got less or no marks even for the correct answers. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had taken responsibility in this matter and had said that injustice will not be done to even a single student. At the same time, CBSE has also taken help from IIT to do the re-evaluation properly.
