Karan Johar’s ‘Dostana 2’ gets another blow: Director Advait Chandan leaves the film; Big reason revealed

Dostana 2 Movie: Dostana 2, the sequel to the 2008 popular romantic-comedy film Dostana, is a much awaited Bollywood film. After Kartik Aryan’s exit from the film, this film has been in the news for a long time due to production problems, changes in casting and continuous delays. Meanwhile, this film has now reached a new turning point. According to latest reports, director Advait Chandan has also distanced himself from this project.

Advait Chandan got a big responsibility
Advait Chandan, who has directed films like ‘Secret Superstar’ and ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’, was given the command to bring the film with a new version. Earlier, ‘Dostana 2’ was being directed by Colin D’Cunha, but after his exit, Advait was attached to the project.

Creative differences became the reason?
According to media reports, creative differences had arisen between Advait Chandan and the producers, due to which he decided to leave the project. However, sources say that this separation is not the result of any dispute or tension. Relations between the two parties are normal and the decision has been taken with mutual consent.

However, no official announcement has been made in this regard by the film’s producers or Dharma Productions.

Some time ago there were reports that Vikrant Massey, Lakshya and Miss India World 2022 Sini Shetty will be seen in the lead roles in ‘Dostana 2’ to be made in a new avatar.

‘Dostana 2’ has been stuck in trouble for years
The journey of ‘Dostana 2′ is counted among the most talked about and controversial projects of Bollywood. It started in 2019, when Dharma Productions announced the film starring Kartik Aryan, Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya.

The shooting of the film had already started in Goa and a large part had been shot. But in 2021, the entire film came to a standstill after Karthik Aryan suddenly walked out of the project.

At that time this matter had become a big controversy in the industry. Dharma Productions had publicly announced that they will not be working with Kartik Aryan in future. However, later there was improvement in the relations between both the parties and now Karthik is working in Dharma Productions’ upcoming film ‘Nagjila’.
