Green is the real gold, Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers’ special initiative in environmental awareness

As a socially responsible company, Shyam Sundar Co. Jewelers has always taken various initiatives for the welfare of society and environment. World Environment Day is observed every year on June 5 to raise awareness about the damage caused by indiscriminate deforestation, the threat of global warming and the possible dangers to the existence of life on Earth.

In the last few years, this organization has conducted various awareness campaigns with the message ‘The Future of Earth Is In Our Hands’ and ‘Come, let us get to the root cause of global warming and try to undo the damage’. These initiatives included awareness campaigns through various media and tree planting programs, where saplings were distributed to common people so that they could plant and grow them in their homes.

Rupak Saha, Director, Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers, said, “On the occasion of World Environment Day this year, we have organized a three-day special program ‘Green Is Gold’ from June 5 to June 7. Through this program, we want to reach out to people in various parks and green environments, where people come to walk and enjoy the fresh air under the shade of trees. This kind of environment will help us deliver our message to people more effectively.” He further said, “Our program is called ‘Green Is Gold’, because the green cover of the earth is really as valuable as gold. The main objective of the massive distribution of saplings on this occasion is to raise awareness among people about the need to protect the environment and encourage everyone to participate in this important work.”
