New Delhi: Well-known Malayalam cinema actor Salim Kumar has been admitted to a private hospital after his health suddenly deteriorated. According to hospital sources, his condition is being constantly monitored and at present he has been kept on ventilator support. It is being told that after feeling health related problems on Saturday morning, he was immediately taken to the hospital, where a team of doctors is treating him.

The hospital administration has shared limited information regarding the current condition of the actor. Officials say he needed emergency medical care, which led to immediate admission. However, the detailed medical report related to his health condition is awaited.
Salim Kumar is one of the few actors in the Malayalam film industry who has made his mark in both comic and serious roles. In the year 2010, he was awarded the National Film Award for Best Actor. Before this he was active in the world of theater and mimicry and later turned towards films. He started his film career in 1997 and since then has acted in hundreds of films.
The actor’s health has been in the news earlier also. He had a liver transplant a few years ago, after which he successfully returned to work. Despite this, he continued to be active in the film industry and kept entertaining the audience.
