New Delhi. The government had made a major change in the rules of LPG connection last month. The government has made the rules more strict. Due to which customers connection may get terminated. We are talking about PNG and LPG connections. According to the new rules, any person who has taken a PNG connection.

PNG supply is operational in their area. All such people will have to surrender their LPG connections within 30 days. Suppose a person had taken a PNG connection on 6 June 2026. In such a situation, he will have to surrender the LPG connection by July 6. That means now LPG and PNG connections cannot be taken at the same address.

The Central Government had issued the SC (Regulation of Supply and Distribution) Amendment Order 2026. Under this rule, now PNG and LPG connections cannot be taken at the same address. However, some good news has also come.

Suppose a person has taken a PNG connection. He will have to surrender his connection within 30 days. In return he will get an LPG voucher. Under this rule, in future if that person goes to some other area and there is no PNG connection then he will get LPG connection only in exchange of the voucher.

At present, the booking rules for LPG gas cylinders have become quite strict. People living in villages will be able to book a new cylinder only after at least 45 days and people living in cities after 25 days. The government has also tightened the cylinder booking process. Under this rule, booking cannot be done without a registered mobile. On booking from the registered mobile number, an OTP will be received. A new cylinder will be available only after showing it.

Domestic gas cylinder prices have remained stable for a long time. However, on June 1, the prices of commercial cylinders were increased from Rs 41 to Rs 45. The prices of commercial LPG cylinders have been increased several times since the beginning of the war. However, there has been no increase in domestic cylinder prices since then.
