Nepalese Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal is on a 3-day visit to India.
It is noteworthy that Nepali Foreign Minister Khanal is on a three-day visit to India on Friday to strengthen bilateral relations. The visit is aimed at improving relations between the two countries amid the controversy arising out of Nepalese Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s comments on the border dispute.
Dr. Jaishankar said that the relationship between the two countries is built on a strong foundation of vibrant people-to-people ties, cross-border connectivity and shared cultural and religious traditions. Both countries share a ‘special’ relationship and the focus should be on decisively taking the relationship forward to realize its full potential.
