NTA’s big statement on rumors of NEET re-exam paper leak, said- all claims are fake

New Delhi: Amidst the rumors of paper leak spreading on social media regarding NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified the situation and appealed to the students and parents to remain alert. The agency has said that the claims related to the examination like alleged leaked question papers, advance access and providing papers for money are completely baseless and have no connection with reality.

What did NTA tell?

In an official statement issued on Saturday, NTA said that such messages are being circulated on various social media platforms and messaging apps, claiming that the question paper of NEET-UG 2026 re-exam is already available. Calling these claims completely fake, the agency said that some anti-social elements are trying to take advantage of the students’ concerns and their sensitivity regarding the examination.

According to NTA, these activities may be part of an organized fraud network aimed at defrauding candidates and their families of money. Such people mislead students by selling fake question papers and false information. The agency clarified that any material currently going viral on social media has no connection with the actual question paper of the examination.

The agency assured that all necessary arrangements have been implemented to maintain the confidentiality and security of the examination. NTA says that the examination system is completely secure and strict security standards are being followed to provide a fair opportunity to every candidate. Therefore, students do not need to be influenced by any kind of rumor or misleading information.

Along with this, NTA said that social media accounts and other mediums spreading fake claims are being identified. Information about related cases has been given to cyber crime units and the process of legal action has been started against the culprits. The agency also said that preparing false material related to the examination, sharing it or attempting to get financial benefit through it is a criminal offense.

Advice to students and parents

Advising students and parents, NTA said they should not believe any suspicious message, nor give money to any person or group. Every authentic and official information related to the examination will be released only through the authorized channels of NTA. The agency has appealed to the candidates to stay away from rumors and concentrate on their studies and preparation and has reiterated its commitment to conduct a fair and safe examination.
