Gorakhpur: Suspicious death of father, heartbroken over daughter’s death, dead body found in field near liquor shop

gorakhpur There was a sensation on Saturday evening at Narre intersection of Gagaha police station area when the dead body of a middle-aged man was found lying in a field near a country liquor shop. The dead body could not be identified for a long time, due to which a crowd of people gathered at the spot. The police reached the information and started investigation and after hours of effort, the deceased was identified as 44-year-old Sunil Kumar, son of Ram Bahal, resident of Belsadi village of Barhalganj police station area.

People saw a person lying in an unconscious state in a field near the liquor shop. When we got closer, he was already dead. Due to lack of identification, the body remained lying there for a long time. Meanwhile, on receiving information, Rajnath, brother-in-law of the deceased, resident of Sakri, reached the spot and identified the body. As soon as identification was made, the family members were informed. Within some time, the deceased’s wife Meena and other family members reached the spot. Seeing the dead body of her husband, the wife and other family members started crying.
Local people told that Sunil was continuously coming to the country liquor shop located at Narre intersection for the last three days and was consuming excessive alcohol. Family members told that his daughter Goldie had died about 15 days ago. After the untimely death of his daughter, he started living in deep shock and mental stress. Family members say that due to this grief he had increased his drinking habits.

According to eyewitnesses, around 6 pm on Saturday evening, Dharamraj, brother of the local deceased, told in the complaint given to the police that Sunil was completely broken after the death of his daughter. On Saturday he had come to Narre from his in-laws house in Sakri. It is suspected that his health suddenly deteriorated while drinking alcohol, due to which he fell in the field and died.

As soon as the information was received, Gagaha police reached the spot and took possession of the body and completed the Panchnama process. Police have sent the body for post-mortem. Police station in-charge Rajkumar Saroj said that the complaint of the family members has been received. The actual cause of death will be known after the post mortem report comes. At present the police is investigating keeping all the aspects in mind.
