Big step of UP government: 3 big good news for women
Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has taken an important initiative towards women empowerment and promotion of clean energy. While effectively implementing the schemes of the Central Government in the state, the Yogi government has taken a big step to provide employment to women in the solar energy sector under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Free Electricity Scheme’. Through this initiative, thousands of women have not only received training but are also being provided permanent employment opportunities.
Solar didis got training and certificate
The ‘Solar Didis’ trained under the program were honored by Energy Minister A.K. Appointment letters and training certificates were presented by Sharma. These women have been given training related to solar energy related tasks like application process, subsidy information and installation of rooftop solar system. The objective of this initiative is to make women an active part of the green energy mission by technically enabling them.
You will get an honorarium of Rs 14,156 every month.
Representatives of the private company involved in the program informed that the selected Solar Didis will be given an honorarium of approximately ₹ 14,156 per month. Along with this, additional assistance will also be provided to them to start work, so that they can become self-reliant. This step has brought a new opportunity for economic empowerment for women in both rural and urban areas.
Free Solar Appliances and Induction Stoves
Not only training but many other facilities are also being provided to Solar Didis. The selected women will also be given a 2 kilowatt rooftop solar system and induction stove free of cost by the company. With this, they will be able to use clean energy themselves and promote its use in the society.
Will spread awareness by going door to door
Solar Didis have also been given the responsibility of making people aware under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana. These women will go door-to-door and give information to people about solar panels, subsidy and application process. This will not only help people adopt clean energy, but is also likely to reduce electricity bills significantly.
