FIR On Mamata’s Close Aide Anubrata Mondal: Now FIR against 13 including Mamata Banerjee’s close aide Anubrata Mondal in West Bengal, TMC’s strong leader was earlier arrested by ED

Kolkata. After the formation of Subhendu Adhikari’s government in West Bengal, police action is being taken against all the leaders of Mamata Banerjee’s TMC. Now a case has been registered against 13 people including TMC’s strong leader from Birbhum district of West Bengal and close to Mamata Banerjee Anubrata Mandal and his associate Mamun Shaikh. In the FIR lodged at Shantiniketan police station, everyone including Anubrata Mandal has been accused of post-poll violence, vandalism and not paying the money after purchasing bricks worth Rs 30 lakh. Before this, ED has once arrested Anubrata Mandal in a money laundering case and sent him to jail.

Brick businessman Shubhendu Mandal had complained to the police against Anubrata Mandal, Mamun Shaikh and 11 others. He has said in the complaint that after the victory of TMC in the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, on the instructions of the then district president of the party Anubrata Mandal, Mamun Shaikh and some people attacked his brick kiln. During this period a lot of vandalism was done there. Shubhendu Mandal alleges that Anubrata Mandal bought 30 lakh bricks to build the TMC office, but did not pay the money. Shubhendu Mandal has said that in the same year he had given a complaint to the police against 13 people including Anubrata Mandal, Mamun Shaikh, but no action was taken.

Shubhendu Mandal alleges that during the TMC government in West Bengal, extortion was also demanded from him. He faced constant pressure and harassment for refusing to pay extortion money and as a BJP supporter. Shubhendu Mandal has expressed hope that this complaint will be investigated impartially and strict legal action will be taken against the accused. Let us tell you that after Shubhendu Adhikari became the CM, the police has taken action against all the TMC leaders. At many places, angry people have also beaten TMC leaders. Mamata Banerjee used to call Anubrata Mandal as ‘Keshto’. Anubrata Mandal was accused of cow smuggling.
