Why was Vaibhav Suryavanshi disappointed even after being sold for crores in IPL auction?

Desk. Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s performance in IPL 2026 was tremendous. He was the highest run scorer this season. He has created a distinct identity in world cricket with his batting. After seeing his brilliant performance in IPL, Vaibhav has now got a place in Team India also. He has been included in the T20 squad for the upcoming Ireland and England tours and the Asian Games. Meanwhile, Vaibhav has made a big revelation in an interview regarding the IPL auction after two seasons. He told that he was devastated due to only two teams bidding in the IPL 2025 auction.




  • Suryavanshi was bought by Rajasthan team for Rs 1 crore 10 lakh in the auction held before 2025. Apart from RR, Delhi Capitals (DC) team had shown interest in buying him. An interview of Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been shared on the social media account of Rajasthan Royals. In this interview, the 15 year old young batsman said that to be honest, when I was selected, I was thinking that only two teams had bid for me. Why so? I play well, I did well in trials. Other teams should have also bid for me. But I have been with the team for one and a half years. I am telling you honestly that I have thanked God a thousand times for including me in a team like Rajasthan. The coaches, support staff, players and management team, media team, physios and trainers, everyone here feels like a family.
