Delhi’s Social Welfare Minister Ravindra Indraj laid the foundation stone of a development project worth Rs 18 crore.

Delhi Social Welfare Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh on Sunday laid the foundation stone of development works of streets and drains at a cost of Rs 18 crore in Prakash Vihar Shahbad Extension-II. This work is being done by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department under the Chief Minister Development Fund.

Addressing the gathering present on this occasion, Minister Indraj Singh said that due to lack of development work for a long time, many fundamental problems had arisen in Bawana assembly constituency. The present government is continuously working for a permanent solution to these problems and foundation stones of development projects are being laid and inaugurated in different parts of the region. He said that if development work had been done on time in the past, the picture of Bawana area would have been different today. Now the government is working with determination and connecting each and every area of ​​Bawana with the mainstream of development. He said that no part of Bawana assembly constituency will remain untouched by development and the area will be developed as a modern, developed assembly constituency equipped with all basic facilities.

Minister Indraj said that the government is working to provide basic facilities like water, electricity, roads, drains, drainage, health, education, security and transportation to every village. This is the reason why the pace of development work in the area is continuously increasing and people are also getting its benefits. He told that on June 3 itself, the foundation stone for the reconstruction works of drains in Rohini Sector-22 was laid. This is an important part of the series of ongoing development works in Bawana assembly constituency. Apart from this, foundation stones and inaugurations of development works are being done continuously in Bawana assembly constituency and many important projects will be started in the coming times.

Referring to his efforts to connect Bawana assembly constituency with the mainstream of development, he said that due to his efforts on June 5, the re-operation of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya (Updesh Kaur) located at Dariyapur Kalan has started. The school will provide education facilities from nursery to class 12th, which will directly benefit about 700 to 800 girls. This is an important step towards the education, security and empowerment of daughters. He further said that recently in the presence of senior officials of Tata Power-DDL, the work of converting unsafe 11 KV overhead line into safe system at Harijan Basti of Dariyapur village was inaugurated and the foundation stone of new vocational training center of NAB (National Association for the Blind) located at Narela-Bawana Road was also laid. This is an important initiative towards the empowerment of visually impaired people.
