Explosion in ticket sales: Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ sets record by selling 20 lakh tickets in just 2.5 days

New Delhi . South Superstar Ram Charan and Jhanvi Kapoor’s film ‘Peddhi’ has created a new history for the audience and ticket booking platform by breaking records at the box office. The film surpassed its previous record by selling more than 20 lakh tickets on Book My Show in just 2.5 days. The initial pre-selling of the film was also excellent. 8,74,900 tickets were sold even before release. After 6,51,040 tickets were sold on the opening day and 3,87,780 tickets the next day, the total number of tickets crossed 20 lakh by Saturday morning. In this way, Peddi set a record not only in sales figures but also in the speed of ticket sales during peak hours.

According to Book My Show data, 47,330 tickets were sold in one hour for Peddi. This record left behind Ram Charan’s previous films like RRR and Game Changer. Earlier RRR was at fourth position, whereas now Peddi has equaled it. At number one on this list is Pushpa 2: The Rule, while at numbers two and three are Kalki 2898 AD and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion respectively.

The film’s box office figures indicate that audiences are excited to see the film, although critical response was mixed. Despite the mixed reviews of the film, public enthusiasm is clearly visible in ticket sales. It proved that Ram Charan’s star power and Peddi’s story is attracting the audience.

The film also performed well at the worldwide box office. The film’s earnings reached around Rs 150 crore in just two days. This figure shows that the film has attracted a good number of viewers in its opening weekend itself.

This record of Peddi is especially significant when seen against Ram Charan’s previous hits. Compared to bigger films like RRR and Baahubali 2, Peddi has maintained similar momentum in terms of ticket sales and audience excitement. Apart from this, the film also increased the curiosity of the audience to a great extent through social media and promotional campaigns.

Peddi’s performance in the top 10 list of Book My Show was also excellent. In this, Pushpa 2 is at first number, Kalki 2898 AD is at second and Salaar is at third number. Peddi occupies the fourth position. It is clear from this list that the film attracted a large number of audiences in its opening weekend.

Film industry experts believe that this record of Peddi can prove to be inspiring for South Indian films also. It shows that with the right mix of star power, marketing strategy and story, it is possible to do well at the box office.

  • Ram Charan’s Peddi also showed that audience response on social media and online ticketing platforms can directly impact the success of a film. This record has made the box office competition even more exciting.
