Major reshuffle in UP BJP! Party prepared new team for 2027 victory, veterans got important responsibilities

Bharatiya Janata Party has started finalizing its preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027. To give a fresh edge to the party in the state and further strengthen its hold at the grassroots level, the BJP leadership has started taking many big and strategic decisions.

Keeping in mind the upcoming assembly elections, major changes have been made in the organization and the scope of the District Core Committee has been increased more than before. Now the state general secretary and other senior officials of the party will also directly participate in the meetings held at the district level. The main objective of this big step is to completely end the ongoing factionalism in the districts and to unite the entire organization and field it for the upcoming election battle. After the recent cabinet expansion, there has been a major reshuffle in the districts in charge of ministers. All the new and old ministers have been given the responsibility of important districts according to their political credibility and strength, so that proper monitoring of government schemes can be done and direct communication can be maintained among the public.

Big ministers got command of VIP districts

In this new list released by BJP, the most senior and trusted ministers of the government have been given the charge of large and strategically important districts. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna has been given very important responsibilities like Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi and state capital Lucknow. At the same time, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi has been made in-charge of Ramnagari Ayodhya and Basti district. Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh has been given the command of Prayagraj and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s home turf Gorakhpur. MSME Minister Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary has been appointed in-charge of Agra and Kasganj, while Food and Logistics Minister Manoj Pandey has been given the important responsibility of Sitapur district.

BJP’s full emphasis on creating regional and caste balance

In this entire reshuffle, BJP has also taken full care of regional and caste equations so that it can reach every section of the society. Women Welfare Minister Baby Rani Maurya has been given the responsibility of Etawah and Hathras, while Sugarcane Development Minister Lakshmi Narayan Chaudhary has been made in-charge of Aligarh and Firozabad. Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh has been given the responsibility of Jhansi and Farrukhabad, while Animal Husbandry Minister Dharampal Singh has been given the command of Ghaziabad and Rampur.

Along with this, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ has been given the responsibility of Mirzapur and Chitrakoot, Labor Minister Anil Rajbhar of Azamgarh and Siddharthnagar, and Khadi and Village Industries Minister Rakesh Sachan has been given the responsibility of politically sensitive districts like Rae Bareli and Kannauj. Urban Development Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma has got the charge of Jaunpur and Bhadohi.

Ministers of allied parties also got important responsibilities

Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay will now handle the entire administration of Kanpur city. At the same time, the organization has also deployed ministers of allied parties in the Uttar Pradesh government in important districts. Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel has been made in-charge of Gonda, Fisheries Minister Sanjay Nishad of Kanpur Dehat and Panchayati Raj Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar of Ambedkar Nagar.

Talking about Ministers of State (Independent Charge), Excise Minister Nitin Agarwal has been given the responsibility of Lakhimpur Kheri, Vocational Education Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal of Bijnor, Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh of Mathura, Secondary Education Minister Gulab Devi of Amroha and Sports Minister Girish Chandra Yadav of Sultanpur.

The command of other districts including Meerut and Hardoi is in the names of these ministers.

Other state ministers have also been fielded with full force to speed up the work of the organization in the districts. Aseem Arun was sent to Hardoi and Meerut, J.P.S. Rathore has been given the charge of Sambhal and Bareilly, Dayashankar Singh has been given the charge of Deoria and Mau, Dinesh Pratap Singh has been given the charge of Banda and Bahraich, and Arun Kumar Saxena has been given the charge of Badaun. Similarly, Somendra Tomar has been given the responsibility of Muzaffarnagar, Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh of Pratapgarh, Dinesh Khatik of Shamli, Sanjeev Gond of Chandauli and Baldev Singh Aulakh of Pilibhit district.

Political analysts believe that this big step of BJP is part of a deliberate strategy to calm the internal discord within the party, fix the accountability of ministers and completely strengthen its hold on the ground before the 2027 assembly elections.
