‘If you have the courage, hang me…’ SP MP Ziaur Rahman Burke furious over Sambhal Masjid action, gave a big statement

Once again the political temperature has heated up in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. In Sambhal, the administration has taken a tough stand against the Mustafa Qadri Mosque built illegally on government land. After Saturday, the bulldozer operation continued on Sunday also and the remaining parts of the mosque were completely razed to the ground.

Local Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Ziaur Rahman Burke has expressed his strong displeasure over this sudden and major action taken by the administration. In fact, during the investigation of the mosque premises, it has been claimed that some posters and a flag written ‘I Love Mohammed’ were found there, which the police and administration are investigating closely. Now the Samajwadi Party MP has opened the front regarding this matter.

Burke gave open challenge in press conference

On Sunday, Samajwadi Party MP Ziaur Rahman Burke called a hasty press conference regarding this entire matter. Expressing deep sorrow over the bulldozer action on the mosque in Sambhal, he took the administration to task. Burke said in a very aggressive manner, “Under what law or section can you file a case regarding the poster of I Love Mohammed? Today, I reiterate my point from an open platform that I say ‘I Love Mohammed’, if you have the courage then hang me for this.”

The MP also expressed his views on the green flag found from the mosque. He said that the green flag belongs to our sacred religion. How can you people forcibly link this to Pakistan or any other country? The green flag is in no way a symbol of Pakistan or Bangladesh, rather it is a purely religious flag used by Muslims on all our major religious occasions like Eid-Miladunnabi. Making serious allegations, Ziaur Rahman Burke said that the district officials are spreading such false propaganda to divert the real issue.

Serious questions raised on the policies of BJP government

The SP MP alleged that mosques, madrassas, cemeteries, Idgahs and tombs are being continuously targeted as part of a well-planned strategy within Sambhal district. He said that this is completely a part of a deliberate policy of the ruling BJP government, which works to create division between Hindus and Muslims only and only to take advantage in the upcoming elections.

Burke said that our job is not at all to divide the people of the society. We are all one and together want to remove BJP from power. He directly warned the administration and said that if any wrong or false report is filed against anyone in this matter, we will take this fight to the court and challenge it legally. He appealed to everyone to live together peacefully, but also strongly condemned what happened in Sambhal yesterday. He called this action taken in haste and on completely wrong orders.

Burke expressed his pain on social media

MP Ziaur Rahman Burke also shared a very emotional post on his official social media platform ‘X’. He wrote in his post, “The atrocities have now come to an end. Despite our efforts, requests and all the legal efforts, the mosque located in Kaserwa village was completely martyred by the Sambhal administration. It clearly feels that the district authorities are deliberately blindfolding themselves and taking this unilateral action with a fixed target.”

He further wrote that this action of the administration raises many serious questions on the system of the country. When the complaints of the common people and even the legitimate legal arguments of the lawyers are not heard, then people’s faith in justice in such a system begins to weaken. He reminded that the Constitution of India does not allow anyone to be above the law and this country is not the personal property of any one person, party or power. According to Burke, after the martyrdom of the mosque, there is an atmosphere of sorrow, pain and mourning in the entire Kaserwa village. The eyes of mothers and sisters are filled with tears, small children are badly frightened and every sensitive heart is extremely saddened to see this horrifying scene. In the end, he said that if anyone has this misconception that he will suppress the legitimate voice of the people with the help of power, then it is a big mistake.
