SpaceX-Google’s $30 billion AI deal, computing capacity will increase

There is an agreement of about $ 30 billion between SpaceX and Google regarding AI computing capability. Under this deal, Google will get the capacity of millions of AI chips, which will help in meeting the growing demand for cloud and AI services.

New York: A major strategic deal has emerged between SpaceX and Google amid the global race for AI infrastructure. According to the agreement, Google will pay SpaceX $920 million every month from October 2026 to June 2029. The arrangement aims to meet Google’s growing demand for AI and cloud services, while also becoming a major revenue source for SpaceX.

Billion dollar agreement for AI computing capability

SpaceX has disclosed in regulatory filings that it has signed a multi-year agreement with Google, the total potential value of which is about $30 billion. Under this deal, Google will be provided with a large amount of computing capacity for AI models and cloud services.

The agreement will begin in October 2026 and run through June 2029. Given the growing AI demand, this deal is considered to be one of the largest infrastructure partnerships in the tech industry.

Google will get 1.1 lakh AI chips

Under the agreement, Google will get access to approximately 1,10,000 AI chips manufactured by Nvidia. The company says demand for its AI platform and enterprise services has grown more than anticipated, creating a need for additional computing resources.

According to Google, its cloud business already has a large amount of contracts from which future revenues are yet to come. Additional capacity is being ensured to meet this demand.

SpaceX’s scope expanded in AI infrastructure

Elon Musk’s company SpaceX is no longer limited to just space and rocket business. The company is also strengthening its position as an AI infrastructure provider. SpaceX’s AI unit xAI has expanded rapidly in recent years.

According to the report, last month SpaceX had signed a similar big agreement with Anthropic. This indicates that AI companies are now looking for new partners to gain access to massive computing capacity.

Strong signal for investors before IPO

Before the possible IPO of SpaceX, this deal is considered to strengthen the earning potential of the company. The company has been more candid in recent months about its financial performance and plans for its AI business.

Analysts believe that due to the increasing demand in the AI sector, computing infrastructure could become one of the most important businesses of the future. This agreement with Google establishes SpaceX not only as a space sector company but also as a major infrastructure player in the AI ecosystem.

This deal also shows that the world’s big tech companies are now investing extensively in developing AI models as well as in the chips, data centers and computing capacity required to run them.
