Sports News: Rising star of Indian cricket Vaibhav Suryavanshi is once again in the headlines. BCCI has taken a special decision regarding Vaibhav, who was selected in the Indian T20 team at the age of just 15. The board has also allowed his parents to accompany the team on the tour of England and Ireland, so that the young player can easily adapt to the international environment.
This decision is also considered special because usually the families of the players are not allowed to accompany the senior team on foreign tours.
BCCI’s special step: Support to minor players
According to BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is still a minor and is going to be a part of the senior Indian team for the first time. In such a situation, this special permission has been given keeping in mind their mental and emotional balance.
The board believes that having the family together will not put extra pressure on the young player and he will be able to concentrate on his performance in a better way.
Towards creating history of youngest debut
Vaibhav Suryavanshi can be among the youngest debutants in the history of Indian cricket. If he gets a chance to play on England or Ireland tour, he can make this record.
Currently, this record is in the name of legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who made his international debut against Pakistan at the age of 16 years and 207 days.
