According to news agency AP, Iran’s state television reported that explosions were heard in Isfahan, Tabriz, Karaj and Tehran, but no further information was immediately provided. Earlier, Iran had fired missiles at Israel for the first time since the fragile ceasefire in early April. Israel says Iran-backed Hezbollah attacked northern Israel earlier in the day.

Earlier, Iran’s semi-official news agencies ‘Fars’ and ‘Mehr’ reported that Israeli strikes targeted a petrochemical factory in the city of Mahshahr in Khuzestan province. He did not give any detailed information about the damage.
