Big news has come out from the capital Delhi. For the first time after the assembly elections in five states, there will be a meeting of the constituent parties of India Alliance on Monday. 23 political parties will participate in this meeting to be held at the Constitution Club. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Group chief Uddhav Thackeray and other opposition party leaders will participate. Let us know the details about it.

Mamata Banerjee will come to Delhi for the first time after the defeat
After the defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections, Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee will come to Delhi for the first time. Yes, both the opposition will attend the meeting. However, after the defeat in Tamil Nadu elections and Congress’s support to the TVK government, DMK has announced its exit from the India Alliance. DMK leaders have refused to participate in this meeting. There is little hope of Aam Aadmi Party also participating in the meeting. Now, it is expected that differences between CPM and Congress may come to the fore in tomorrow’s meeting.

CPI(M) angry with Congress’s allegations
The dispute between Congress and Communist Party of India (Marxist) over statements made during the Kerala Assembly election campaign is likely to be discussed in the meeting. CPM General Secretary MA Baby has written a letter to Kharge seeking clarification regarding the allegations being repeatedly made by Congress leaders. He has expressed his displeasure over Congress accusing CPM of collusion with BJP in Kerala.

In his letter, MA Baby said, ‘Such allegations are not in accordance with the spirit of India Alliance.’ He also raised questions about whether Congress leaders were weakening opposition unity by demanding an investigation against former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Despite the differences, CPM has decided to attend the meeting and the party will be represented by Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas.

CPI(M) leader Hanan Mollah criticized the Congress, saying, “The Congress has failed to take all the parties along with it in the alliance. It is the responsibility of the largest party to maintain the alliance, but the Congress leaders are not showing the necessary wisdom.” Mollah also targeted Rahul Gandhi for criticizing DMK and CPM.

What is the agenda of the meeting?

The official agenda of the opposition meeting has not been revealed yet. However, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that the opposition parties are united on some important issues. Recognizing that some parties will not attend the meeting, he has made it clear that the fight against the BJP-led central government will continue.
