Iran’s attitude changed after the attack, stopped military operation but gave strict warning to Israel
New Delhi: Amidst the increasing tension in West Asia, Iran has announced to stop its military campaign against Israel for the time being. However, along with this, Tehran has made it clear that if any new military action is taken by Israel or its allied countries in any area, its response will be tougher than before.
Strategic interests will not be compromised
A statement issued by the Iranian military leadership said that the purpose of the recent campaign was to retaliate in support of regional allies and this phase is now being ended. However, the officials also made it clear that the country’s security and strategic interests will not be compromised in any way.
Let us tell you, in the last few days the tension between Israel and Iran had increased again. During this period, news of missile attacks and retaliatory actions between the two countries increased concern in the entire region. Recent developments have once again given rise to the fear of a major regional conflict.
What is Iran’s priority?
Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian said that the priority of his government is to maintain the security of the country and the peace of its citizens. He stressed that Iran will take every necessary step to protect its national interests. Along with this, he also said that both diplomacy and defense are important bases of the country’s power and Iran will remain active on both the fronts.
Aggressive action got a strong response
On the other hand, Iranian military officials have warned that if new aggressive actions take place in southern Lebanon or any other region, there will be a strong response. This statement has indicated that even though the military operation has been stopped, the situation has not yet become completely normal.
Meanwhile, the Government of India has also issued a new advisory for its citizens. India has advised Indians present in Israel and Iran to remain alert, follow local safety instructions and avoid non-essential travels. Indian embassies located in both the countries are constantly monitoring the situation and are prepared to provide assistance if needed.
