Dubai road accident: Several Indian workers died while several others were injured in a horrific road accident in Dubai on Monday. The accident occurred when a minibus carrying Indian workers collided with a truck parked on Emirates Road from behind. After the accident, there has been a wave of mourning in the entire Indian community.

Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, the Indian Consulate in Dubai said that it is in constant touch with the local administration and all possible assistance is being provided to the affected people and their families. Consulate officials also reached the hospital and inquired about the well being of the injured.

1. On Monday, a truck parked in the middle of the road in Dubai collided with a minibus, resulting in the death of 7 Indian laborers while 9 were injured.

2. The Indian Consulate has expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and said that it stands with the families in this difficult time and every possible effort is being made to provide necessary assistance.

According to Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic of Dubai Police, preliminary investigation revealed that a truck suddenly stopped in the middle of the road due to a technical fault. After this, the minibus driver coming from behind allegedly failed to maintain adequate distance and pay attention to the road, due to which the bus collided directly with the truck.

4. According to the police, 7 people died on the spot in this accident. Nine people have been injured, out of which the condition of 5 is said to be serious and the condition of 4 is said to be moderate.

5. All the injured were immediately taken to the hospital, where their treatment is ongoing.
6. After the accident, traffic police, relief and rescue teams reached the spot. Police secured the area and controlled the traffic so that ambulances and relief vehicles do not face any problem in movement. Later, normal traffic was restored on the road by removing the damaged bus and truck.
7. Dubai Police said that experts from the Traffic Accident Investigation Section have been sent to the spot. The team is collecting evidence and investigating the real causes of the accident.
