Big update for teachers in Bihar, education department issued new order
The Education Department has started a very important and big change for lakhs of teachers teaching in government schools of Bihar. Now the service book of all the teachers of the state will be prepared in digital form. For this, the department is developing a very large and detailed digital database, in which the complete service record of every teacher will be recorded online.
Under this new process, it has been made mandatory for all teachers to fill a ‘Data Capture Format (DCF)’, which will have to be updated online within the stipulated time limit. The Education Department has set the deadline for this as 28th June. The most important thing is that this new rule is not for only one category of teachers. This new system will be applicable equally to all types of teachers in the state – whether they are employed, regular, new teachers selected through BPSC, head teachers or posted on any other post.
Complete information will have to be given on 59 points
To prepare this digital service record of teachers, the Education Department has asked for a total of 59 types of information. These include all the important things from personal details of teachers to their jobs. Teachers will have to give complete information about their permanent and current address in detail. Along with this, copies of the residential certificates of both the places will also have to be uploaded online. Not only this, the residential certificate of the time when the teacher was first employed will also have to be compulsorily entered on the portal.
Apart from this, every small and big information related to the job like date of first appointment, details of the appointing authority, list of all transfers and postings done since the beginning of the job, and dates of contribution in different schools will be made a part of this digital record.
All records related to service and salary are also important
According to the new instructions of the Education Department, teachers will also have to share all the financial and salary related information during their employment period. This includes the teacher’s appointment letter number, joining date, starting salary, current basic pay, UAN number and complete record of salary payment. Some special instructions have also been issued in this matter for employed teachers.
Teachers reinstated under Panchayati Raj and Municipal Primary Teacher Rules will have to compulsorily enter their date of appointment as 1 July 2006. On the other hand, new teachers or regular teachers selected from BPSC will also have to update the complete information about their pay scale, pay matrix level and other allowances like HRA on the portal.
Digital system will make work very easy
Regarding this big change, the Education Department says that the main objective of the entire process is to keep every information related to the jobs of teachers safe on a single digital platform. With the preparation of digital service book, big and complex processes like promotion, transfer and retirement of teachers will become much easier in the coming time. After the implementation of this system, teachers will get freedom forever from repeatedly visiting government offices for their small tasks and paperwork.
